Custom Software: common questions.
How much does custom software cost?
It depends on the number of modules and user roles, how complex the workflows and reports are, which systems it must connect to, and whether existing data needs migrating. After a free consultation, with no obligation, we send a written estimate broken down by module. If the scope is still unclear, we suggest starting with a smaller first release.
How long does a custom software project take?
Typically 8–16 weeks for a first working release (MVP), depending on scope. Larger ERP or multi-department systems are delivered in phases over several months, so your team can start using the first modules early.
Who owns the source code?
You do. On final payment we hand over the complete source code, database and documentation, and we are happy to work in a repository under your own account from day one. We sign a non-disclosure agreement before you share business details.
Can you work with the software we already use?
Yes. We regularly integrate with accounting packages, payment gateways, SMS and WhatsApp providers and existing databases. Where an old system needs replacing, we migrate it in stages so daily work is not disrupted.
Should we buy off-the-shelf software or build our own?
If a ready product fits 80–90% of your process, buying is usually the better choice, and we will tell you so. Custom software makes sense when your workflow is what sets you apart, or when you are paying for several tools that still do not talk to each other.
What support do you provide after launch?
Every project includes a bug-fix warranty period after go-live. After that, you can choose a support plan covering monitoring, security updates, backups and small enhancements, or take the work in-house with our documentation.
